5 Simple AI Hacks to Save 10 Hours a Week in Your Solo Business

By Cherry Tomenio | February 12, 2026

I am a mom of two, a Public Accountant, Auditor, and Registered Tax Agent. I run two businesses, and frankly, I don't have time to be fancy. I need things to work.

When I started looking into AI, I was overwhelmed. But then I applied my "Diskarte" mindset. In the Philippines, diskarte means resourcefulness—finding a smart way to solve a problem with whatever you have available. It's about being scrappy and self-sufficient.

I stripped away the hype and found the tools that actually save me time. Here are the 5 simple hacks I use every week:

1. The "Kitchen Table" Drafter (ChatGPT/Claude)

I don't write emails from scratch anymore. I open my AI and say: "I need to tell a client that their tax return is late because they didn't send the receipts. Write it nicely but firmly."

Time Saved: 3 hours/week on agonizing over wording.

2. The Meeting Minutes Taker

I use a tool to record my meetings (with permission!). It gives me a summary and action items instantly. I never worry about missing a detail.

Time Saved: 2 hours/week on typing notes.

3. Content Recycling

One YouTube video becomes a blog post (like this one!), a LinkedIn post, and a Facebook update. I just paste the transcript into AI and say "Turn this into a blog."

Time Saved: 4 hours/week on content creation.

4. The "Tech Support" Buddy

When Excel gives me a formula error, I don't Google it. I paste the error into AI and ask "Fix this." It works 99% of the time.

Time Saved: 1 hour/week of frustration.

5. The Local Archive (GetCachely)

I save helpful tutorials and courses locally so I can search them instantly without logging into 10 different websites. It’s my personal library.
